On the defeat against Delhi Capitals, Suryakumar Yadav said that his team scored 15-20 runs less. Suryakumar praised Sameer Rizvi and said that he did not give MI a chance to come back in the match.
Suryakumar said, “When you are batting first, you are thinking about the score again and again. You bat, understand the statistics and we thought that a score of 180-185 would be good here, but we scored 15-20 less runs. I think my and Naman’s wickets fell at the wrong time, otherwise we could have reached a good score.”

Sameer Rizvi came to bat in this match as an impact player. He hit 7 fours and 7 sixes during his innings of 90 runs in 51 balls. He has now become the cricketer who has played the third highest innings by an impact player in IPL. In this list, only Jos Buttler and Sai Sudarshan are ahead of him, who have scored centuries as impact players.
