The blueprint of the Indian team for the 2027 ODI World Cup will be ready by the end of IPL 2026. This is what Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir has to say. In an interview, Gautam Gambhir said that after IPL 2026, preparations for 2027 ODI World Cup will start. He told that the Indian team has to play 25-30 ODI matches between the Indian Premier League 2026 and the ODI World Cup next year. The head coach said that these days ODI matches are not being played in large numbers, so the sooner the team prepares, the better it will be for them.
Regarding the challenge of South Africa, Gautam Gambhir said, “Playing in South Africa is not easy. We have to prepare combinations and focus on those players who can do better in the conditions there. This is the job of the selectors and coaches. By the time IPL 2026 ends, the blueprint for the 2027 World Cup will be ready for the Indian team.”
