It was important for men to fall in love quickly and show commitment, while women developed a tendency to be more careful in choosing partners. So if a man says “I love you” first, it is not necessarily that he is pretending, it could be his natural tendency.

The second study, conducted in 2024, tried to understand the experience of love at different stages of relationships. In this, the emotions of thousands of people were tracked in real time. The results revealed that women feel more love than men during engagement, but there is a slight decline in their emotional experience in the first two years of marriage. Whereas men’s love gradually becomes more stable. This does not mean that women love less after marriage. Rather, it shows that the form of love changes with the relationship. Sometimes responsibilities and everyday life reduce that initial enthusiasm a bit.

One thing that is clear from both these studies is that men and women love in different ways, but both are capable of connecting deeply. The journey of love is different for everyone, some reach quickly, some slowly, but the destination is the same.
