While Natasha currently lives in London with her kids and Fardeen lives in Mumbai, the two remain involved as co-parents. In a recent interview, Mumtaz once again discussed the situation and suggested that the death of Fardeen’s father, Firoz Khanmay have played a role in the couple becoming distant. During an interview with ‘Sitaron Ka Safar’, he said, “What happened was that when Firoz died, he was very attached to his father. So I don’t really know what happened at that time. Natasha shifted to London for her children’s education. After that, I am not sure what misunderstandings arose between them. But then some problems started.”She added, “What else can I say? And what can I say, they are now grown men themselves and parents of children.”During the same conversation, Mumtaz also praised Fardeen for the way he has been coming forward for his family. “Fardeen is a very nice, lovely man. Even today, he flies to London to see the children. Natasha was unwell, and he visited her ten times to check on her. I never thought men these days would do that, but he took care of everything.”The actress has spoken openly about him earlier also. In conversation with journalist Vicky Lalwani, she recalled the time of his birth and said, “Even today, Fardeen looks like a gem to me. He is my favourite. I love him because when he was born, and we were shooting for Firoz’s film, I had a celebratory champagne in his honour. He is so lovely.”
